Based in London, Joana serves Customer Experience Professionals. Her areas of expertise include digital customer experience, tools like journey mapping and Agile methods. Joana also focuses on brand, and leads CX Index research in Europe.
Before joining Forrester, Joana was the senior customer experience manager at Elsevier, a leading provider of science and health information. She was responsible for all aspects of customer experience including measurement, strategy, customer understanding, and design. She set up and managed a team of Customer Experience Professionals in charge of delivering customer insights to the business through customer journey and ecosystem mapping as well as implementing projects that drove customer satisfaction and reduced customer effort at Elsevier. Joana has a strong background in digital customer experience through her role as editor-in-chief of Elsevier’s digital platform from 2008 to 2011.
Joana has also held a number of positions as a reporter covering financial services companies in the Benelux for Bloomberg, Dow Jones Newswires, and The Wall Street Journal. She has wide knowledge of the Dutch and U.K. markets.
Joana holds an M.A. (Hons) in international relations and modern history from the University of St. Andrews, in Scotland. She is fluent in Dutch and Portuguese and speaks conversational Spanish and basic Italian.
Pieter van der Werf (1966) was appointed as Head of Customer Experience Branches as of April 2016. In this role he is responsible for the customer experience, remodeling and innovation of Branches for ING Netherlands, including hiring and coaching of all new branch advisors.
Prior to this he was responsible for the set up and roll out of the post merger branch network of ING in the Netherlands.
Pieter has a MSc degree in Economics and joined ING in 2001. Pieter has built up a wide experience within retail in food and non food before joining ING.
Remco has worked in startups focusing on emerging technologies for 5 years, most recently established more than 40+ applied Artificial Intelligence communities worldwide as part of the core team of CITY.AI before evangelizing the use of data and machine learning for retail banking with W.UP.
Since 2017 Valerie has been delegated to Commerzbank’s DLT Lab in London with focus on FinTech participations, Trade Finance and Cash on Ledger projects; before that she worked in the Group Strategy of Commerzbank AG in Frankfurt and 10 years at Arkwright Consulting AG in Hamburg, Oslo and Zürich with focus on innovation projects for energy clients (u.a. smart grid, renewable energies) and media companies (online/ print-disruption)

He has over 10 years of experience in the technology industry and an extensive background in project management, technology sales and establishing business partnerships, out of which over 8 years at IBM. Guy holds an MBA in Management of Technology, Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Tel Aviv University.
